FAQs
What is your return, refund, exchange policy?
All sales are final. We recognize beyond that, that every situation is unique and we want to nurture our relationship. Should you feel that a return, refund, or exchange is necessary, please reach out and let us know, we would be happy to make it right.
What does small batch mean?
We pride ourselves on the freshest flavor possible. When we first started, everything was made to order. Now, everything is made in larger quantities than your individual order but enough to make purchasing optimal and to avoid any waste or products sitting on the shelves. We want to avoid anything being produced and then sitting around so that you can have your order as fresh as possible. In some cases, we are still making items “made to order” if we run low or out of stock. Your order might kick start the next production.
Where do you get your ingredients from?
Our ingredients are sourced from all around the world. They are checked, cleaned, and go through a tough standard before being acceptable to use in our products.
Are your products Kosher?
Currently (5/6/2022), we are working on getting a Kosher Certification. We are not certified at the moment. However, according to most rabbinical authorities the following spices are acceptable without supervision: Allspice, Anise, Basil, Bay Leaf, Black Pepper, Caraway, Cardamom, Chervil, Chili Peppers, Chives, Cilantro, Cinnamon, Cloves, Coriander, Cream of Tartar, Cumin, Dill, Fennel, Fenugreek, Garlic, Ginger, Lemon Grass, Mace, Marjoram, Mustard Powder, Mustard Seed, Nutmeg, Onion, Oregano, Paprika, Parsley, Peppercorns (all colors), Pepper, Rosemary, Saffron, Sage, Salt, Savory, Sesame Seed (White or Black and Raw Only), Pure Sumac, Tarragon, Thyme, Turmeric, White Pepper.
Are your products Vegan?
Currently (5/6/2022), all of our products are vegan. We plan on expanding into different products over time, and will continue to mark products when they are vegan or when they are not. Until then, all of our products are vegan.
What does “Domestically Produced” mean?
We source our ingredients and then process those ingredients to make the spices or the blends here in the United States. Ingredients right now come from all across the world and in order to preserve flavor we do not have anything processed until it reaches our facility. This helps us personally control the flavor profile of all of our products.
Do your products contain any allergens?
Some of our products do, and it will be clearly marked and communicated. All of our products are produced in a facility that processes allergens. We are currently setting up different production lines for different products in order to maintain allergen safety, kosher for passover use, and the ability to keep our customers safe. If you have a specific concern or allergy and are looking for a product without that, please contact us directly, we would be more than happy to accommodate you.
What is the best way to store your products?
Keep out of reach of children! We’re kidding. Except for maybe our pepper spices, those can be harmful to even adults. Please keep our products tightly sealed, away from heat or direct sunlight.
How long do the spices last?
Spices tend to be good up until around 4 years. However, our spices start to lose flavor and taste like everyone else’s around the 6 month mark. Our spices therefore will last about 4-4.5 years. Typically, by the time we see spices or get them into our home in the United States, it could be anywhere from 6 months to a year and this is past the optimal optimal period. Since our spices are made for you and in small batch we recommend you buy small and buy often.
I dont want to pay shipping. Can I pick up locally?
Local pickup is limited and only available in the NY/NJ/CT area - the Tri-State. If you need our products anywhere else, we can only provide via shipping or carrier pigeon.
